The Food Section of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority organized a training on ZAD system by Sharjah Municipality on 26th June 2019. ZAD system is a Federal smart Portal system developed jointly by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and Dubai Municipality to facilitate food trade in the UAE. The training was attended by the Food Quality department personnel and investors of HFZA.

ZAD smart portal serves as the official online database platform for all Emirates to approve and register food products. Using this system, customers can register their imported or exported food products in addition to those manufactured locally. It enables food business operators to obtain ‘No objection certificate’ for transfer of any food consignments from one emirate to another and information about approved Islamic entities and slaughterhouses worldwide that are approved by the Ministry of Environment.
