The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) has hosted a breast cancer awareness session in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, discussing the importance of prevention, regular screenings, and early intervention, key factors that significantly improve recovery chances.
Prof. Riyad Bendardaf, Consultant Medical Oncologist of University Hospital Sharjah shared essential knowledge about breast cancer, highlighting the importance of periodic exams for early detection. Discussions also covered prevalence among the population, risk factors, preventive lifestyles, and the vital role that community awareness can play in encouraging early diagnosis. The session also explored ways to promote health awareness and support timely actions that can lead to better treatment outcomes and recovery rates in breast cancer cases. The HFZA employees and investors also received free screenings from the team.
