H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) in Sharjah, stressed that HFZA plays a leading role in promoting the steel and iron industry, establishing itself as a dynamic business hub that serves investors and provides strategic access to both regional and global markets as he addressed attendees of Italian Critical Process Equipment Days Expo & Conference in Milan.
He stated that the Free Zone is home to more than 450 companies in the steel sector, together covering 50 million square feet. This sector represents approximately 16% of the total 300 million square feet of the free zone, making Hamriyah Free Zone a prominent centre for the steel industry in the Middle East and Africa.
Al Mazrouei’s statements were made during HFZA’s participation at the inaugural event organized by Italian Association of Pressure Equipment last October, which brought together key steel industry leaders and experts from Europe and other leading countries in the sector.
During the event, the Authority showcased its investment opportunities, aiming to attract more investors to Sharjah and exchange insights with major companies in the iron and steel industry. HFZA also held meetings to highlight its facilities, services, and the advantages of its strategic location.
